Rhode Island Adventure Day Five: Maine Lobsta…Wicked Awful

We started our morning driving to Saugus, Massachusetts to Kane’s doughnuts that our dad told us to try. There family owned and operated for over 70 years and are on MSN’s Top 10 doughnut shops in America…it lived up to the hype. We drove to Salem and went to the Salem Pirate Museum. Walked to see some of the Salem Witch trial spots. Drove to New Hampshire and stopped by Hampton Beach and walked the main street for a bit. Got an Italian sausage and peppers from Giuseppe’s. Headed to Maine and saw the Nubble light house. Went to The Fox’s Den to try Maine Lobster, we got through 3 bites and stopped. It took a trip to Maine and 20 bucks to find out we’re not fans of Lobsta! Went to Maine street bought fudge then headed back to Rhode Island. Ran into a guy from California pulled off on the side of the road who was taking a picture of the Welcome to Maine sign. Drove to Providence and ate BBQ at Smokey Bones. Spent an hour or more driving around gas stations and mini marts trying to find Rohde Island postcards. Got back to the hotel loaded up pictures and fell asleep dreaming of Maine lobsta…wicked awesome.

I live here and I don't eat the stuff ... although I'm allergic, so that might have something to do with it.
